Adrian Jemmott, 31 of Trenton, New Jersey died at the scene of the triple tractor-trailer crash, PSP Jonestown Investigator Ryan Schuetrumpf detailed in the release on Aug. 4.

The crash happened at mile marker 87.5 on I-81 North around 4:15 a.m., Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler initially told us.

Jemmott was the passenger of a Hino 268 box truck, driven by John Concepcion, 35, of Hamilton Township, N.J., according to Schuetrumpf. The truck exited the highway for an unknown reason and struck a legally parked, unoccupied tractor-trailer. Then it reentered the highway and was struck by a Hino 268 box truck also driven by a NJ man.

The coroner was on the scene until around 11 a.m. as there was heavy entrapment, Schreffler told us. It is unknown if Jemmott was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to PSP.

Concepcion was seatbelted but "suffered suspected injuries to the entirety of his body," Schuetrumpf wrote in the release; the driver of the other box truck "suffered suspect minor injuries", and both were taken by Penn State Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center.

Concepcion was charged with "33091 Driving On Roadways Laned For Traffic," according to the release.

The road was closed from Exit 85A: PA 934 South - Annville through Exit 89: I-78 East - Allentown, according to PennDOT. The area reopened at 1 p.m. with over five miles of backed-up traffic.
